IN-BETWEEN DAY 2010

Every year we celebrate "in-between day". You see, our 2 boys were born almost exactly 2 years apart ... their birthdays landing 2 days apart.

First is youngest son's birthday:

Here he is on his day, opening his gifts - this one he is especially fond of - the Mario Wii game he had hoped for.

And 2 days later is oldest son's birthday:

Here is oldest son on his day, opening his gifts - he was hoping for a soccer net and new soccer ball.

But the BIG DAY is in-between day... the day between their birthdays. It is the day we give them their gifts that are to be shared, and the day that they exchange their gifts, and of course CAKE.

When this time of year rolls around the big guy and I start to stress about money, but God always pulls through for us - not only with finances, but also with creativity and ideas. For instance, one of the gifts was blank cds... cheap right? Well, they were thrilled to find out they could use their cds whenever they want, and they can pick songs off of the laptop and create their own "mixes". They have each made 1 cd so far, and they are all they listen to! One day I snuck downstairs to peek on youngest son who was boogying away to some Black Eyed Peas song in his bedroom. And whenever oldest son goes outside, his radio/cd player goes with him and he plays his sports while listening to his favorite pre-teen music.

It was another successful birthday and in-between day for them.
And another year that we look back and wonder how we pulled it off... and end up thanking the Lord for helping us out.
