Following through on Threats

It has been a long time coming.

Because bad choices do not equal rewards.

We have threatened.

We have given fair warnings.

We thought it might be coming, but had our fingers crossed that with our help he could turn things around...

Tonight is the first time we pulled a sports practice from him.

He cried.  And yelled.  And apologized.  And cried some more.  And begged.

And it nearly killed me.  I literally felt my heart cracking.

I quietly asked the big guy, "Can't we give him one last chance?"  I even bargained with him...

But he said, "Absolutely not."

And he's right.
And that's killing me too.
